Van den Berg Products is the manufacturer and distributor of a complete range of consumer products under the brand names Montiss and Powerpeak. Our products are divided in two groups, being; household appliances, fitness equipment.
From our sales & operations offices in Hong Kong and The Netherlands we supply department stores, mail order companies, TV shopping channels, wholesalers, specialty stores and a variety of retail chains in over 20 countries. Our office in Hong Kong has an exciting opportunity for a:
Director of Operations
Job description
• Responsible for the end- to end operations process of our business
• Managing all activities related to timely sourcing, purchasing, production, delivery, quality inspection & control and testing of company products
• Negotiate with product suppliers in China
• Product service to customer and internal sales departments globally
• Lead and motivate the Hong Kong and China based teams
• Create, develop and implement operations strategy
• Oversea office management disciplines; budget, personnel, IT, insurance & travel,
• Managing product suppliers; contracting, account management and factory visits of key-suppliers
• Actively participate in product and business development
• Represent and promote our company at industry fairs and networking events
The successful candidate
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an operational role preferably within the retail industry
• Minimum 2 years management responsibilities
• Experience with international and China oriented working environment
• Strong leadership & common sense
• Great planner and comfortable to work under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and preferably in Mandarin
• Ability to travel
